Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Ireland Q3 2022

During the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on iOS in Ireland showcased varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, active users, and revenue, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 5.9K at the end of June and decreasing to about 4K by the end of September. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 900K throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw its weekly downloads peak at 1.5K in mid-July before gradually declining to just over 1K by the end of September. Active user numbers exhibited a slight upward trend, starting at around 54.7K and ending the quarter at approximately 59.5K.

For Google Earth, weekly downloads began at 1.4K and dropped to about 900 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, declining from 10.6K at the start of the quarter to around 9.2K by the end.

TomTom GO Navigation had a notable spike in weekly revenue, reaching about $1.6K in mid-July. However, this declined to approximately $343 by the end of September. Weekly downloads showed a peak of 1.2K in early July, but settled at around 248 by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a peak of 1.2K in early July, with a drop to around 873 by the end of September.
